This is a cover of "Spit on a Stranger" by the band Pavement. It was the single off their 1999 record, "Terror Twilight." The artwork on the cover is a photograph titled "L.A. Divorce Room" taken by George Lacks on black and white negative film in June 1946. It was published in Life Magazine and copyrighted to Time.
