Spitfires in Burma

from Sally Sparks Hosted by Sally Sparks

Test mix. Kevin Newell - vocals. Sally Sparks, guitars, Haken Continuum, Piano, Synthesizers, bass, percussion. More tweaks to be done. The song was inspired by the a news story I read about a search for WWII British Spitfire fighters that are believed to have been shipped in crates to Burma, then buried by British troops. David Cundall has spent his life's fortune searching for these planes. If they found them, they would be like new, preserved in their oil rag soaked crates in pieces. It got me thinking about how the stories of the past fade and why we cling to them, yet forget the lessons of the past.
