This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome first-timer Dan to the show as they discuss the 1984 rom-com Splash.  Opie Cunningham directs Tom Hanks as the lovable loser who unknowingly falls in love with a mermaid.  Johnny Candy stars as his perverted brother, and is the real star of this movie and we miss him every day.  Daryl Hannah stars as the mermaid who gains legs when she is on land (this is how she fooled Tom Hanks in case you thought he was just ignoring her gigantic fin), and Eugene Levy, who is really having a bad week, tags along as the mermaid hunter.  Was that his job?  Cryptozoologist?  Deep Sea diver?  Moron Twin wrangler?  Who knows, it hardly matters?   We had a great time discussing this with Dan and can’t wait for him to come back on the show soon.  Enjoy the podcast.Jason, Andy and Dana will discuss a 1986 movie weekly, breaking down all the nonsense there within.
