Splinters & Myths
from Brownwall Hosted by Brownwall
Originally recorded in 2017 for The Killing Swarm's "Splinters & Myths" Can't get off the pyre to save my life Splinters and myths are stacked twelve feet high Set it alight just because we're there This ain't how we're meant to be This is the situation Words cannot convey This is my resignation It's where I stand today Still allowed to choose my fate for now Then we fade away Who I choose to be and what I choose to see Another look before the attack The signs alive and held firmly in check And then the sound comes and it never relents Honing time into a blade Scratch and fight for a song in the night Splinters and myths burn by candlelight A story well told too true to be good With an ending yet unwritten This is the situation Words cannot convey This is my resignation It's where I stand today Still allowed to choose my fate for now Then we fade away Who I choose to be and what I choose to see Sit down sailor and listen to a tale Of how we unravel and where to pull the thread Dig deep enough and you'll find the pulse Held in place by duct-taped dreams Sinners and thieves next to nurturing kind Splinters and myths that stretch three miles wide You can see it from space but not in front your face And the periphery is clear This is the situation Words cannot convey This is my resignation It's where I stand today Still allowed to choose my fate for now Then we fade away Who I choose to be and what I choose to see John Makarewicz - Drums Nick Nunziata - Bass, Vocals Steve Murphy - Backing Vocals Micah Robinson - Guitar
