[sploosh! session #3] Marla Bendini
from sploosh! Hosted by sploosh!
Interdisciplinary artist Marla Bendini (IG: @marlabendiniart) performs two improvisations on guzheng and voice. Marla Bendini (she/her/they/them) is a cross-disciplinary trans and non-binary artist working in painting, text, sound and performance to articulate the infinitely faceted transgender experience on their own terms. Marla makes art that center personal histories, to talk about love, relationships, queerness, trauma and more importantly, growth & recovery. She believes our storytelling is important and the transformative power of introspection in art-making and experience can precipitate constructive individual and social change.
