Vulcan 1. Affected by the force of a Red Dwarf and white dwarf. Members stars of 40 Eridani. 2. Vulcan has no moon. 2. The red giant grew 10 percent of its size and the star flared. It took no longer than 10 to 20 minutes to burn almost all the forest and boiled away 70 percent of the oceans turning the beds to scorched sand and mud. Metal near the surface ran molten, trace gases in the atmosphere ignited and a great deal of oxygen and nitrogen on the planet was lost. On the other side of the planet, creatures survived by cave. Food was short and shock affected the planet. There was some surface water. Mount Seleya snow-capped mountains were evaporated. 3. Vulcan is a gravity heavy planet. 4. Vulcan remains a member of the Federation with a 5 billion to 9 billion vote and the message is clear, Vulcan will remove itself from the federation and return to peace, a Heavenly City. The swords will be beaten into plowshares.
