Since Moana was released to streaming services, it’s been played more than 1 BILLION HOURS. That’s over 150,000 years of watching Moana in less than 10 years since its release. Suffice to say, those are big shoes to fill. Initially, MOANA 2 was announced as a Disney+ series. Only in February of its same release year did we learn that it was being reworked into a feature film. Can the underdog story of everyone’s favorite wayfinder survive such a conversion, or will she wipe out entirely in a sea of popular theater releases.
