Spooky Time Episode 18: The Wheel of Misfortune with the Jersey Ghouls!

In this very special episode of Spooky Time, Eric, Liz, Mike, and Robert are joined by Jacki and Marissa- The Jersey Ghouls- to spin the “Wheel of Misfortune”! It’s a summer game a little bit less intense than one of Jigsaw’s. But only a little! Here is how it works… Liz has 42 franchises entered on a Wheel of Misfortune:Ringu, Scary Movie, Puppet Master, Hatchet, Saw, Human Centipede, The Howling, Hellraiser, Children of the Corn, Insidious, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Sharknado, Birdemic, Hotel Transylvania, Ju-On, Candyman, Poltergeist, Tremors, Piranha, Leprechaun, Jaws, V/H/S, REC, Wrong Turn, Psycho, Troll, Urban Legend, Lake Placid, Pumpkinhead, Evil Bong, Gingerdead Man, Phantasm, Subspecies, Jeepers Creepers, Twilight, and Hell House LLC. Note that there are some notable franchises that The Scariest Things has already treated in this fashion and are not on the wheel. Halloween, “…Of the Dead”, Alien, Predator, The Exorcist, and Paranormal Activity. Spinning in alphabetical order, The Wheel assigns the franchises that we are required to watch over the summer We’ll gather back to record a full podcast on the best, worst, and most gonzo selections in our franchises. If the wheel lands on a property that someone really does not want, there is an opportunity for a re-spin BUT there are consequences…They will have to “take the physical challenge”! In truth, it’s not a physical challenge, but a random gut-punch option to get out of having to endure a franchise that you just can’t handle. You can’t try and dodge fate by begging your way out. There will be commensurate wheel justice! This was a particularly fun show to produce, and at a certain point, it became the Mike and Marissa reaction antics show! Man, this was a fun episode, and there will be much more to come from this in September, as The Scariest Things and The Jersey Ghouls now have summer school homework in the form of franchise film binge mode!
