Sporting Jax Stuns Birmingham in Stoppage-Time Thriller | Jacksonville News

Sporting Club Jacksonville stunned Birmingham Legion FC with a last-minute 3-2 thriller, scoring the winning goal in the 11th minute of stoppage time — the latest game-winner this season and their first-ever away victory. After falling behind early, they rallied with a dramatic comeback: Emil Jaaskelainen equalized with a header, Wan Kuzain struck with a stunning 20-yard volley, and Danny Wilson sealed it with a tap-in off a cross from Ahmad Al Qaq. The win ended a four-hundred-minute scoring drought and showcased grit, resilience, and clutch performances — especially from goalkeeper Jake McGuire, who made six saves. Now, Sporting Jax heads to Brooklyn for a high-stakes showdown on August 29th, ready to carry this momentum forward.
