Sports Awards, International Women's Day, New Post Office building

We're launching the GBC Sports Awards today, recognising sporting excellence on the Rock. As from 2pm you can phone for your favourite nominee for Sportsperson of the Year, with the winner being announced on 9th April. Jose Marie Ruiz and James Culatto told us more about how the nominees are chosen.The Ministry of Equality and partner organisations are marking International Women's Day. There will be a panel discussion at the Garrison Library and, on Thursday and Friday, GAMPA will perform 'La Maleta' at the GEMA Gallery, paying tribute to women who lived through the evacuation. Adriana Lopez from the Government Press Office, and Hannah Mifsud from GAMPA, told us more about the events.And, the Royal Gibraltar Post Office is hoping to construct a new three-storey Parcel Post facility at Bishop Caruana Road, just in front of the Med and Calpe Rowing Clubs.
