SPORTS N SPIT EPISODE 45 - THE LITCHFIELD BEARS

2020 has certainly thrown us some challenges and in Episode 45 we tell the story of the Litchfield Bears, a Rugby League Club participating in the Northern Territory competition. 2020 is the Litchfield Bears 30th Season and it was set to be a big year. With 500+ registered players across the Juniors, Female and Mens sides, it is one of the NT's largest clubs. Situated 30km out of Darwin, the club has deep roots within the local community and to many, it is more than just a footy club. It's a social network, a lifestyle and family to many. Covid-19 threatened to de-rail the Bears season. It was On then off, then on. We spoke with the A Grade Mens team Coach, Jake and Club Administrator Amy about the challenges faced this year. The A Grade Men's team are back to back defending champs and are playing this weekend for their third in a row.
