Sports Untold 127 Dylan Jackson

Paul is joined on the 157th edition of the 'Sports Untold' podcast by former University of Washington rower and current attorney, Dylan Jackson. In this episode, Paul and Dylan dive into rowing–a sport with a significant tradition in the Pacific Northwest.  Dylan was a varsity men’s rowing letterman at the UW, a member of a UW PAC-10 rowing championship squad, and a silver medal winner at a competition in Ohio. Dylan is now an attorney colleague where he practices primarily as a civil defense trial lawyer at the Seattle law firm of Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson. In this interview, you will hear how Dylan got the rowing bug, about his former coach, Bob Ernst, and his thoughts on the famous book and movie about the 1936 University of Washington crew team, ‘Boys in the Boat.’ The two discuss the ways in which the sport has grown in the PNW and how Dylan would attempt to grow the sport to those outside of the typically considered rowing community.
