Sportspeople Who Competed With Medical Conditions

Paul and Glenn are back for another fun, entertaining and educational episode. This week we will discuss medical conditions and some sportspeople from over the years who have displayed great resilience, strength and character and competed with different medical conditions. Some of who we discuss include. - A former Australian Rugby player who is the only known person with cystic fibrosis to play a contact sport. He went on to achieve his dream playing professional Rugby and also is a great inspiration and raises great awareness of the disease. - A former American figure skater who has overcome several times life threatening conditions and gone on to become a legend in his sport and do great things for charity. - Sportspeople with type 1 Diabetes such as Wasim Akram, Gary Hall Jnr, Sir Steve Redgrave, Steve Renouf, Alexander Zverev, Jay Cutler, Sophie Devine. - Muhammed Ali, Greg Louganis, Phil Mickelson, Tim Howard. - Lou Gehrig, the former baseball great who had a disease named after him. - Venus Williams, Carrie Johnson, Kayla Montgomery, Jackie Joyner-Kersee. - Phil Dalhauser, Morgan Hoffman, Eric Berry, Paul Azinger. - Simon O’Donnell and Jarad Lyle.
