SPOTLIGHT MONDAY: The Veterans COMPACT Act of 2020

On today's Spotlight Monday, we shine the light on "The Veterans Compact Act of 2020" which stands for Comprehensive Prevention, Access to Care, and Treatment. We learned about the intent and details of this act from Part 2 of our two-part Special Episode with Cynthia, Episode 58. This Act allows Veterans, who were NOT dishonorably discharged, to be seen at any level 1 facility or emergency facility for up to 30 days of inpatient care and 90 days of outpatient care at no cost to them. We felt it was important to highlight this act because we know so many Veterans are struggling with their mental health and suicidal ideations with no knowledge of the services that are available to them.
