Spotsylvania Court House

After the Battle Of The Wilderness, The Army Of The Potomac moved southeast to find a more favorable fighting ground. The Army Of Northern Virginia followed and the two armies faced off at the crossroads of the Spotsylvania Court House from May 9th-21st. Lee now realizes that Grant will be like no other General he has faced from the Union so far. In this episode, we also cover three small battles that preceded this one which were the battle of Port Walthall Junction on May 6th-7th in Virginia, the battle of Calcasieu Pass on May 6th in Louisiana, and the battle of Rocky Face Ridge on May 7th-13th in Georgia.
