Memory Verse: ‭‭ "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes" - Isaiah 54:2 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭2 Kings 6:1‭-‬2 NKJV 1. And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us. 2. Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.” So he answered, “Go.” INSPIRATION: How does it feel to force yourself into clothes you've outgrown long time ago? Uncomfortable, right? What's your experience like when you force your feet into shoes that are smaller than your actual size? Real pain, I guess. That's how it feels like when you keep operating in circles and going back to habits you've outgrown. Personal growth and development is an intentional decision no one can make for you. The choice to suffer pain and discomfort doing things and living a life that is beneath you is never to your advantage. Hence, you must choose growth and advancement. The sons of the prophet recognised that they had outgrown their dwelling place and needed to build something bigger. To recognise your inadequacies is the first step to your pursuit of change in status. Looking inwardly, what areas of your life do you think you've outgrown, and what measures are you taking to build capacity to remedy the situation? Capacity is your staying power; depth is your stability in whatever field of operation your find yourself. Those who fish in shallow waters do not experience the vast possibilities of a big catch that deep waters avail. Whether in business, relationship or spiritual matters, the command from Isaiah is, "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes" (Isa. 54: 2). TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Take your personal developmental growth very seriously. Enlarge the place of your tent; increase your capacity to better your chances in life. Change your old wine skin to accommodate your new experiences. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me the grace and diligence to enlarge my tent and to press for more. Make every effort I put in to increase my capacity and output in all areas of my life, until it yields a hundredfold reward, in Jesus name.
