My name is Stephen and I’m a local music producer and recording engineer. I’ve been in the recording world for 15 years now. I run a studio in the Excelsior neighborhood called Helvig Productions where I help local artists make music they’re proud of. At my studio, there’s often discussions on a wide range of topics concerning the music industry. This podcast is an effort to bring those discussions to a public forum. This podcast is going to be all about the local musician’s world. Everything from navigating the recording process and content creation to marketing and promoting your music. Along the way I’ll be interviewing and learning from some of the amazing artists, producers, venue owners, and other music business people and sharing their experiences and secrets with you. There’s a ton of incredible people and impressive music being made in Minnesota. I hope to introduce you to some of them along the way and shed light on their secrets to success to you.
