Spring 2019: Session 51 (Being Kantshes about Your Feelings with Dr. Jhanel Davis)

from The First-Gen Lounge

Are you being real with yourself about what you're feeling? Have you taken the time to acknowledge what you've been through and how it's shaped you? So often, we carry baggage with us just thinking that if we do nothing about it, then it's deal with; however, that's not necessarily true. Emotional, mental, and spiritual freedom starts with letting go of whatever has been holding you back and/or down... and that starts with being real about it. In this session, I talk with Dr. Jhanel Davis about many things, but one of main things being the importance of healing from the past. Dr. Jhanel A. Davis was born in Brooklyn, NY, but raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is an Author, Keynote Speaker, Counselor, and Growth Specialist. Dr. Davis obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in Elementary Education, later pursued a Master’s degree from St. Thomas University, and completed a Doctoral Degree in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She is the founder & CEO of Kuhltuhveyting Kantshes Kors, a platform that explores the minds of children, families, and communities of color who are struggling to deal with present & past traumatic events.Connect with Dr. Davis: www.keepitkantshes.com, www.instagram.com/thecalleddr_d.
