Aye, it's been a proper spring cracker down 'ere on the Sussex and Hampshire stretches, with bass on the move like they've got a vendetta. Weather's mild today—light southerlies at 8-12 knots, patchy cloud, temps hoverin' 12-14°C, perfect for a beach cast or boat run. Sunrise kicked off at 5:45 AM, sunset's 8:20 PM, givin' ya a solid 14.5 hours of light. Tides? Low water 'round 6 AM and 6:45 PM at Brighton Pier, highs pushin' 5.5m at noon and midnight—fish the flood hard, lads, as that's when they're feedin' aggressive. Fish activity's rampin' up with water at 11°C; schools of mackerel and sandeel drawin' in the bass. Recent catches? Loads of schoolies 24-30 inches, slots to 35+, and some 10-15 pounders from the shingle beaches—blokes at Cow Harbor Bait reckon spearin'-imitatin' lures are gold, much like our bunker pods holdin' 'em steady. Toggin's pickin' up too in shallow structure, 20ft or less, with keepers steady from the Solent eastwards. Fresh sea lice on bass signal the big wave's comin' post-full moon tomorrow.
