Spring into the Psalms - Psalm 6: Gracious Discipline

David prays that the LORD’s discipline would be gracious rather than wrathful, so that the LORD would bring healing to his troubled body and soul. The LORD’s steadfast love is the foundation of such a prayer, even as tears flow due to the sin and suffering we experience. Yet the prayer of the Christian remains confident in the LORD’s answer and protection from all enemies.  Rev. David Appold, pastor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Paducah, KY, joins host Rev.
