Is it the way that he speaks or is it the money that he spends? The measure of a man is the way that he walks with God and the values he posses. In our story, we see that the Apostles Peter & John have been threatened and arrested by the temple priests for preaching Jesus. They maintain incredible bearing as they speak under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Additionally, we hear the story of Ananias & Sapphira conspire together to lie to God. Unfortunately, the consequence of their deception was instant death. What is the measure of a man? It’s how he handles himself in times of adversity in God’s power. Will the Apostles develop those values that make a man?
