King Solomon’s desire for peace has caused him to marry from other heathen nations and eventually turn his heart from the Lord. He builds temples to these other gods and it’s not long before Israel worships these idols. His son Rehabohem, assumes the throne after his death and turns out to be an unrighteous king. It all goes downhill from there as well. It even gets to the place where the Temple is ransacked and looted. When we seek our own will and refuse God’s we set the stage for tragedy and destruction. Have you ever made bad decisions that resulted in a bad consequence? I know that I have! We have all marched away from Zion, the will of God instead of marching to, Zion, the city of God. Wise counsel and Godly decisions will make your life less complicated.
