Have you ever had something bad occur in your life that you later learned was the mercy of God? It has been said “Sometimes the blessings of God are not in what He give but what He takes away.” Many people often complain when God removes their comfort blanket. He does it not to be cruel but to teach us and mold our character. In our story, Elisha has been shown kindness by a family that will endure a crisis but actually turns out to be a blessing. Also, there is a King that endures a terrible physical condition but once he encounters the man of God he sees the blessing of God through faith. It is unknown why God allows bad things to happen to good people and good things to occur in the lives of the bad. You can take comfort in knowing that there are hidden blessing to those that trust Him.
