[§105] Rev 8:8-9: The Second Angel’s Plague upon the Sea

This podcast explains and interprets the meaning of John the Revelator's statements and images from Revelation 8:8-9 in the Book of Revelation. These verses describe the second trumpet plague that will be unleashed by God after the Opening of the seventh seal. These verses describe a great and fiery mountain that is cast down from the sky and strikes the ocean. This refers to a worldwide judgment from God in the form of a large meteorite that will have devastating consequences on shipping industries, fishing industries, and economies of the world generally. The slat water seas will turn to blood as a sign or symbol of death as a third of merchant vessels are destroyed and a third of all sea creatures die. The ultimate purpose of this plague is to encourage people to repent and prepare for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
