[§203] Christ Ministers on All His Celestial Earths

This podcast explains the meaning and symbolism of the parable found in Doctrine and Covenants Section 88:51-61, called the Parable of the Lord of the Fields. In this parable, Jesus Christ is Lord over the countless celestial earths he created to become habitable earths for all God’s children who kept their first estate. These many earths are symbolized by the field in the parable. In the parable, Christ sends one servant to the field in each hour of a 12-hour day. The Lord visits and ministers to each of the 12 servants consecutively in their hour beginning with the first to the last. After the first series of hourly visits, Christ visits each servant in their time in reverse order from the last to the first. Finally, the Lord visits each servant in his season from the first to the last. The first series of visits represent the premortal ministry of Jesus Christ on each of the celestial earths he created. After the premortal ministry of Jesus Christ on this last earth of the physical creation as Jehovah, the God of the Old Testament, Jesus Christ was born on this earth in mortality. After his death and resurrection, Christ ministered to disembodied spirits in the postmortal spirit world for this earth. His atonement then brought to pass the resurrection of all exaltation-worthy people on this earth. This began the morning of the first resurrection and the second series of visits of the resurrected Jesus Christ to all his other worlds in reverse order. In this second series of visits, he resurrected exaltation-worthy saints in reverse order from the last to the first. Finally, during the third season of visits beginning with the first and continuing to the last, Jesus Christ resurrected people worthy of the celestial kingdom who were not worthy of exaltation in that kingdom. This stage of the resurrection is called the afternoon of the first resurrection. This third series of visits will conclude on this earth as the last earth of the physical creation. This will occur at the end of the millennium when the last celestial-worthy person is resurrected on this earth.
