[§256] Rev 15:3-4: 144,000 Sing the Songs of Moses and the Lamb

This podcast explains the imagery and meaning of John's vision in Revelation 15, where he describes exalted and exaltation-worthy saints gathered on heavenly Mount Zion which is seen as a fiery sea of glass at the start of the Third Woe. These are the 144,000 Servants seen by John in Revelation 14. In Revelation 15:3-4: “They sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” The song of Moses is a celebration of the redeemed saints that stand on Mount Zion. It alludes to the song of victory sung by the Israelites on the shores of the Red Sea after Pharaoh and his armies were destroyed. The song of the Lamb is a similar song of victory that includes the worship of Jesus Christ as the redeemer and deliverer of his people both physically and spiritually. His acts of redemption are both great and marvelous. The lyrics of the song of the Lamb further proclaim that Christ is the King of saints (King of nations) and his judgments of destruction are just and true. By the end of the Third Woe, all wicked people living less than terrestrial law shall be destroyed and those that remain shall fear (reverence) Christ and glorify his name. All persons in all nations not destroyed at the time of the Second Coming shall come to the mountain of the Lord's house to worship. All his judgments shall be made manifest at his coming and throughout the millennium.
