[§291] Rev 17:14: The Latter-day War of the Kings/Beast with the Lamb

This podcast explains the symbolism and imagery used by John the Revelator in the Book of Revelation, chapter 17:14-15, which states: “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” The persons making war with the Lamb (Jesus Christ) are the ten kings which represent a whole of the part of all modern nations and earthly kingdoms that unite with the Great Whore of false religion to engage in a war against the kingdom of God on earth since the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1830. Modern nations and new geopolitical divisions have been forming since the early 1800s, which coincide with the rise of Satan’s seventh kingdom known as Modern Babylon, the Second Beast from Revelation 13:11-18, and the little horn from Daniel 7:8. The Civil War in America was the first modern war against the Lamb, where Satan sought to destroy the United States as the birthplace and cradle for the restored church. Since that time, wars have multiplied as part of Satan’s ongoing effort to make war with the Lamb. The Lamb will ultimately prevail because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, which means that at the Second Coming he will rule over both and ecclesiastical and political kingdom because all other earthly kingdoms will be destroyed. At the Second Coming, Christ will be accompanied by a heavenly host identified as the 144,000 Servants who stand with the Lamb on heavenly Mount Zion in Revelation 14:1, and then descend with him at his Second Coming. Revelation 17:15 refers to the Great Whore sitting on many waters that represent wicked people in all the world who support her wicked ideals and her warfare against the Lamb. The waters are identified using the world number four (4) to represent the geographical and worldwide completeness of all peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
