Cold and rainy turning to slush! Oh Winnipeg! Stuck around the house today to get some things done. A year’s worth of mail and other clean up jobs. Cost of perogies has gone up! $9 per dozen! Used to be $6! Never did go for a walk but did go out for a drive to Grant Park mall. Shopped at Co-op… they used to be just a gas station, now grocery store that replaced the Safeway. Cash register lady was from Ukraine, Ternopil. Found some non-alcoholic IPAs and stouts, though have yet to try them. Shoppers and Canadian Tire BOTH blocked off access to the mall after 6pm. Never used to be that way. Security guards looking at me! Then off to McNally Robinson, one of the best smelling bookstores in the world. Cafe, restaurant, book shop, and literary corner. Marc Garneau, Canada’s first astronaut was giving a talk. Stayed for a bit but had to get going.
