SSOT-025: Thoughts on Unexpected Spurs Western Conference Championship, OKC, and Challenge Knicks Present for NBA Finals

from The Scales of Truth · host The Scales of Truth

(I lay out ranges, but do not try to predict the series. I'll say it here though - If Spurs win, it takes five to seven games. If Knicks win, it takes six or seven. The "chess match" of this series is an intriguing of one as we've seen in a while)An odd nuance... Wemby the "Most Important Player". Because almost always a season MVP has a very polished offensive game. Wemby can go off, but is not near the polish of a Shai, Hakeem, Jordan, and so on. But 'dat DEFENSE 'do does make him the Most Important.  (Just making it to the Finals though, puts a different spin on his season MVP chances next year, and I think voters take his full game into account, and he could have a three-year run as MVP or longer, or like 3 out of 5 or something. Kinda like when they started to not give the MVP to MJ or to LeBron basically because it would be "boring" to.Unique challenge of this Knicks team that is on a roll in the playoffs the likes of which we haven't otherwise seen. The luck of a young team in the Spurs already facing an offensive master, particularly one who can navigate in traffic really well and hit mid-range shots. Seems a bit like Jalen Brunson. But KAT. Anunoby, Hart, Bridges, Mitchell. Bigger wings than OKC even though OKC, pre-injury had almost historically rare depth. Thoughts on whether OKC should "stay put" or "move / panic."
