St. Augustine's "Confession:" Book Eleven, Chapter Seventeen

Welcome, Catholic Pilgrims. We continue our readings on time and you might be thinking, "This is a lot of information about time. When is he going to get to the Genesis part?" We will, I promise. What I think we can take from this, is that off the very first sentence of the Bible, "In the beginning," St. Augustine has meditated deeply. This might seem like a lot to you, if you've never really taken the time to meditate deeply in the way that he did.    Don't worry, I'm not saying you are bad or anything, it's just that this is what you can get to when you do take the time to contemplate the mysteries of God.    With that, let's open to Book Eleven, Chapter Seventeen on page 266.
