STA129: Focus on Education Pt1: ’Movement Therapy Education’ with guest Mike Grice & MTE Students

In Ep.129 of the Sports Therapy Association Podcast, we bring you the first of a two part 'Focus on Education' with special guest Mike Grice, Director of Movement Therapy Education. Movement Therapy Education is a specialist training company delivering therapy education. Started by Mike Grice in 2003, its courses are designed to bridge the gap between the fitness industry/sports massage and clinicians. Their mission statement: “to teach the skills that help therapists who have not been to University to develop their clinical, critical thinking and research skills to ensure they can communicate effectively with those working in Allied Healthcare.” Mike Grice is a Registered Osteopath with over 20 years experience in the Health and Fitness Industry. He lectures on the FdSc and BSc Sports Therapy programmes at University College Birmingham and throughout the world in Anatomy and Intrinsic Biomechanics Coaching. Mike is a lead tutor/instructor for Elite Therapy Education, Biomechanics Education, Oxford School of Sports Massage (OSSM), RockTape/RockBlade and NAQI and regularly teaches courses for Premier League and Championship football clubs. Mike regularly presents at conferences including Therapy Expo, FitPro, International Fitness Showcase, Good Health Show and the IOC world conference for Injury Prevention in Monaco. He also runs Movement Therapy Clinics in Birmingham where his team put all that Movement Therapy Education teach in to practice.
