Stagedive -13- Beats Antique

from Stagedive! · host Stephanie Foo

Beats Antique kinda sounds like if personifications of the world's traditional music all got high and went clubbing together--a blend of Middle-Eastern, Balkan, African and American jams. Drummer Tommy Cappel tells a story of how he came to play Balkan music. His tale is set in the famous Guča Festival in Serbia, where his crazy, sexy Extra Action Marching Band came up against the world's best brass bands.

Stage Diving! A Theatre Podcast Stage Diving with Megann and Jake This is Stage Diving! Megann is the hyperfixated theater expert. Jake is the theater noob, unburdened by Broadway history, and therefore feels free to say whatever occurs to him. These besties StageDive one musical at a time, digging into the story, songs, history, and, most importantly, why anyone should or shouldn’t give a shit. Stage Diving is for theater fanatics, alleged theater haters, and anyone who has sat through a three-hour musical wondering, “What the hell is going on?” Expect deep dives, utter chaos, explicit lyrics, and a whole lot of questionable takes.
