I pazienti affetti da questa malattia rara hanno un rischio aumentato di sviluppare ictus ischemici e/o emorragici nel corso della vita. Nonostante nel 2023 siano state pubblicate le linee guida ESO sulla gestione dei pazienti con Moyamoya, questa patologia è ancora poco conosciuta in Italia. Ne parleremo oggi con il Dr. Francesco Acerbi, Responsabile della UOSD Vascolare, Centro di Rivascolarizzazione Neurochirurgica (Neurochirurgia 5) dell’Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta di Milano, autore delle linee guida europee sull’arteriopatia Moyamoya.
