Stalking After an Incipient Relationship

A college student was playing soccer at her community college. She met a man who worked in the athletic department and was also a student. He would see her in the library during his free hour between classes and began visiting her regularly. The student didn't think anything of it at first, as he seemed normal and would bring her small gifts like chocolates, although he always downplayed the gesture by saying they were office extras. The student, naïve at the time, missed the warning signs. The soccer season ended before Thanksgiving. He asked her about her classes for the next semester and whether she would play again next season.
