Stand Firm in Righteousness

You love God. You pray, you fast, you want to grow. So why do some battles keep coming back? In this reflection, we discover that the reason isn't always a lack of zeal. Often, it's a lack of understanding of righteousness. Hebrews 5:13 tells us that anyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness. Spiritual maturity is connected to understanding who you are in Christ. Without that understanding, believers approach God with guilt, unworthiness or condemnation, and struggle to use the Word to maintain a life of dominion. But righteousness-consciousness gives you boldness. When you know you've been made the righteousness of God in Christ, you relate to God not on the basis of your performance, but on the basis of Christ's perfection. You weren't made righteous by your good works, and you don't maintain it by human effort. So refuse to live with a sense of inadequacy. Stand firm in the righteousness God has given you, and exercise your authority with confidence. 📖 THEME SCRIPTURE "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe." — Hebrews 5:13 (KJV) 📚 FURTHER STUDY 2 Corinthians 5:21 • Romans 5:17 • Hebrews 5:13–14 🎧 If this episode strengthened you, follow Rhapsody Reflections, leave a rating, and share it with someone who struggles with guilt or condemnation.
