Stand Out // Built Different // Part 3

Most of us default to one of two moves as Christians — we blend in and hope nobody notices, or we retreat into a Christian bubble and lose touch with anyone who isn't already a believer. This week we walked through Matthew 5, where Jesus gives a third option: be salt and light. We talked about why salt that's lost its flavor is worthless, why a light hidden under a bowl helps nobody, and what it looks like to actually live this out at work, at home, and with the people God's already put in your path. Along the way we got into the strange, restless life of Ralph Waldo Emerson — a guy who spent his whole life chasing God and never quite landed. If you've ever wondered how to be different without being weird about it, this one's for you. We would love to hear how God is changing your life through this ministry!
