Gilli has worked as a comedy writer since 2005, on a variety of platforms. Her TV work includes, amongst many TV comedies; SAFTA-winning ZAnews and Those Who Can’t. She has also been writing and directing for comedian, Nik Rabinowitz for roughly the past decade, including some other notable names in local comedy. Gilli started performing in her own capacity in 2015 and has since opened for local greats; Nik Rabinowitz, Eugene Khoza and John Vlismas. In 2018 she performed at Kings & Queens of Comedy at Sun Arena, was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Savannah Comics’ Choice Awards and was selected to perform on Trevor Noah’s Nationwild tour; you can watch her Nationwild special on Showmax. In 2019, Gilli toured Europe with the comedy show, Story Party. Not to mention hundreds of performances at every existing comedy venue in South Africa.
