On the premiere episode of Stand-Up Memories we meet the hosts, seasoned comedians Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling and Peter Bales “Professor P” and learn a little about their history in the comedy scene throughout the years as well how they were influenced into comedy by family and by watching old comedy shows on TV. Jackie learned to play the guitar and got into music “to meet girls” and started doing comedy in between songs during gigs while Peter knew since the 11th grade that comedy was his calling. Learn about the origins of Jackie’s catchphrase, “COME ON!” and how his friendship and correspondence with Gershon Legman, author of  Rationale of the Dirty Joke, resulted in a visit by Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza to include Jackie in their documentary, The Aristocrats, about the famous off-color joke.
