Standing in the Gap
from Food First Hosted by Phil Knight
When a breach occurs and a gap is created. More often than not, it is filled with brave men and women who CHOOSE to stand in that gap. We need people to come alongside of us and the people we serve to stand in the gap for families experiencing food insecurity. Representative Angela Witwer does just that. Representative Witwer ran for public office to serve Michigan’s 71st District to stand in the gap for children, seniors and working families. She consistently puts PEOPLE over PARTY. We need this example of leadership now more than ever. Not only does she serve the 71st District, she was also nominated by the Minority House Leader to serve on Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s appointed Food Security Council. She is convinced that food insecurity is a solvable problem and is committed to seeing that hunger comes off the table. When it all boils down, we must do the work and do what is truly right for the people! We must continue to help people where they are, not where we want them to be. We need YOU to continue to stand WITH us, our 7 Feeding America food banks in Michigan, and all 208 Feeding America food banks across the nation. Stand in the gap with us by helping keep #FOODFIRST!
