Standing in the Need of Prayer

The apostle Paul asked the believers of Ephesus to pray for him. Ephesians 6:19. He had experienced all of the warfare mentioned in this larger passage he had written. And now he simply adds “And for me…” Every pastor needs the prayers of his people more than any other means of support. He needs all kinds of support but especially prayer support. In the ministry it is the same today. Few people understand the inner conflict a pastor struggles with. They may witness outer struggles but the enemy attacks within as well. Pray for us that: We be endured by the Holy Spirit with the Right Words We be emboldened by the Holy Spirit to Stand Strong We be enabled by the Holy Spirit to be Understood A Spirit- filled pastor prayed for by Spirit-filled believers is a mighty weapon in the hand of God.
