On April 21st, Stanford's men's basketball team just crushed it off the court, landing six players on the all-ACC academic team, the most in the conference and a full third of all honorees. No other school came close with more than two picks. Those stars are Ryan Agarwal, Aiden Kamen, Benny Gieler, Cameron Grant, I. Sigmund Grant, Kiesem Okapara, and Donovan Young.
They qualified with a 3.0 grade point average overall, and in each of the last three quarters, while playing in at least half the games. Five of them, Agarwal, Kamen, Gieler, Okapara, and Young, nabbed this award the past two seasons in a row. Gieler even took home ACC scholar, Athlete of the Year honors, back in March. The Cardinal posted a solid 20 wins and 13 losses overall in the 2025-2026 season, going 9-and, 9 in conference play before hitting the college basketball crown.
Back-to-back 20-win campaigns marked their first since 2014 and 2015, joining Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, and Clemson as the only ACC squads at 500 or better over those two years. Proof you can hoop and hit the books.
