The Stanley Hotel is most known today for being inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining". However, King probably helped revive this escape to paradise it once was. You had to qualify to get into the prestigious INN. The rich, the powerful, and the influential had access. Without certain criteria, the owner would refuse to let you stay at his beautiful hotel.
