Join us today as we speak with Iranian filmmaker, producer, and director of 'Me, The Other' extraordinaire, Shidan Majidi. Some may be familiar with Shidan from his work on Broadway including Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, and more. A producer of movies, music videos and currently embarking on his next project. Joined by Rizza Alee, who shares about his collaboration with Shidan as well as personal experiences that have been used to shape an outlook that is acknowledging both his humanity and his higher aspirations. Kat Love, who has worked with Netflix and other big movie makers, wrote a beautiful book called Juju; about a bird who the main character develops a relationship with that transcends any connection you might think possible. Paria Akhavan, someone who is part of the tight group of friends slots into the conversation like glue in the join of a beautiful piece of furniture. Each guest powerful, silky, and resonant of the peace their ancestors before them have fought and maintained for them, offers something to the women of Iran at this time, as the 'morality police' impress themselves on the people of Iran protesting the death of Mahsa Amini. A 22-year-old who was taken and seemingly neglected or intentionally killed whilst in their custody. The people believe this to not be any coincidence and so have taken to the streets for three weeks by time this is released.
