His mom is giving him cereal and pouring his milk for him, which is hilarious. Syril is oddly inspecting a particular cereal puff.Syril’s mother and Syril are at odds. They’re having a fight.We go back to Cassian (Clem) sleeping. His stuff seems to be missing. Skeen was told to search Cassian’s bag. Clem says nothing and just stares at Skeen. He has suspicious-looking tattoos. One of a group called “Krayt Head”, and the other for one called “By The Hand”. Cassian was on Sipo at their youth center, apparently affected by the clan.Skeen gives a quote that is also the episode title; “The axe forgets, but the tree remembers.” He is there for revenge. Skeen is suspicious of him. He tells Clem all about everyone on the team. Clem wants to “win and walk away.”We’re back with Mon Mothma and Perrin. She isn’t happy when he walks in.He tells Mon the driver is there. Her daughter, Leida, doesn’t want to listen to her mother. Mon has a whole schedule planned, but her daughter doesn’t want to go. Tensions are high in the Mothma household.Then we are back with Clem and his team. He is talking to his teammates. They give him milk to drink, which Clem throws on the ground. Skeen is very suspicious.Lieutenant Gorn is with the Imperials. The rest of the team gets on outfits. They brief Clem on his backstory. We see Blevin again.They are rehearsing how to March like Imperials. Gorn is their leader.Cassian suggests switching sides. Skeen is left-handed. Their weapon should be on the left side. Clem knows all their tendencies, including which hand they dominantly use. Then there is a flyby of TIEs. They were likely spotted.Gorn is on the inside to lead them. The team is preparing. He is talking to Cinta when Skeen moves his stuff and they get into a fight. Clem prepares and is ready for the mission.Back to Blevin and Dedra. They walk past each other in the halls. Dedra scoffs at him. Dedra is in over her head. She’s on some sort of case with another Imperial.We see Clem and his gang burning something. They are all gathering around it, sipping milk. Vel tells Clem to stay focused. They all say, “To the Rebellion.” Then they get on with their travels.We are back with the new sitcom, “Syril and his Mom!” They are once again at odds. They have apparently talked to Syril’s Uncle Harlo. Syril is upset.Clem is suspicious of Gorn. He found the love of a woman, but lost his promotion, his taste for the Empire, and the woman. “Everyone has their own rebellion.”Gorn is back! He’s unhappy with the fact that the gantry has not been painted. The officers are asking about The Eye of Aldhani. They say morale might be crushed if they don’t have an essential roster there tomorrow night.The group is taking a break. Skeen grabs Clem! He threatens him and takes Clem’s kyber necklace.Vel tries to calm him down, but Skeen’s having none of it. Clem is about to shoot him down. But suddenly, there is a ship approaching. It is heading to the garrison. Clem finally spills the beans and tells them he was paid. He decides to try to reunite the team.Even Cinta, Vel’s right-hand woman, didn’t know about this development. Skeen has nothing to say.We’re back with Perrin and Mon. Perrin is upset that another senator knows more about his wife's plans than he does. He tells the driver, Klorin, to take the expressway in their hoverspeeder.The team is starting a fire. Syril is sitting in his room thinking about where he went wrong and looking at Cassian’s photo. Gorn is looking out on the team from afar. The signal is spotted. Vel turns to talk to Skeen about his actions.Skeen is told to talk to Clem. He tells Clem about his brother, who perished at the hands of the Empire. Skeen says that’s as close to an apology as Clem’s getting. Vel then puts Taramyn in charge, and Vel leaves. I have no clue where she’s going.Finally, Luthen is back. He is with some lady and is listening to the radio. She tells him to shut it off. The episode ends.
