TY TORRICK’S MYSTERIOUS PAST IS REVEALED! Mike starts this episode with a brief bio on Ty Yorrick, where these comic sit in The High Republic and what Tholothians (Ty’s species) are before he delves into the plot of issue 1. As well as going through the plot of the 4 issues of The Monster Of Temple Peak, Mike provides information on various species (including Gundarks, Segredos & more), various planets and other connections to the rest of the SW universe – this episode is a must-listen for any fans of The High Republic book The Rising Storm! These High Republic comics are set in 231BBY, in the first phase & second wave of the High Republic; after Light Of The Jedi but before The Rising Storm. The Monster Of Temple Peak 1 was released 11th August 2021, issue 4 was released November 17th 2021 and the trade paperback collection's release is to be confirmed. Cavan Scott is the writer of these comics, with Rachael Stott as artist (& cover artist) with Vita Efrenova & Nicola Righi as colour artists. Mike tackled the first volume of High Republic comics (by Cavan Scott) in episode 84 of SWCIC and the first volume of HR Adventures comics (by Daniel José Older) in episode 86 of SWCIC.
