Today I saw starfish and baby turtles on the beach. Starfish have no brain, no central nervous system and have many sucker feet on the underside which fill up with fluid alternately so the feet without the fluid are the ones that move with the shifting weight and balance. Turtle mothers lay their eggs in warm sand and then abandon them as they return to the ocean. When the baby turtles hatch they instinctively move towards the greatest light which will be the ocean and the horizon. Both the starfish and the baby turtles are not using conscious thought and yet they achieve. God wants us to trust Him and to "move" according to our instinct and our inner spirit's connection with the Holy Spirit. God will equip us in what He wants us to do for Him. Of course He has given us our intelligence but He doesn't want us to solely rely on it. Think on the verses of Proverbs 3:5-6 in this connection: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight".
