Starfleet Keeps Losing the Frontier

from Lore Reloaded Hosted by Lore Reloaded

Starfleet doesnt lose small wars because its weak. It loses them because it refuses to fight them as wars. From the Talarian border conflict to the Cardassian settlement and the rise of the Maquis, the Federation repeatedly chose restraint over escalation, treaty stability over deterrence, and political peace over frontier security. Over one hundred officers were killed in deception traps along the Talarian border. A Federation citizen was taken during war and returned without sanction. Colonists were forced to abandon their homes for treaty compliance. Those who resisted were labeled criminals. None of these conflicts ended in catastrophic defeat. They ended in compromise. This video examines how Starfleet handled its small wars - and what those decisions cost the Federation in authority, stability, and trust. If the Dominion War was the explosion, these were the slow burns that came before it. Let me know in the comments: Was Starfleet showing moral strength - or enabling instability in the name of peace?
