We also meet Hober Mallow who maybe has a sprinkling of his namesake from the book but appears to be a mashup of several other characters including a big dollop of the Outrageous Okona from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The good news is that he's hilarious! Also, Gaal is mystified by what's going on with Hari's "old friend" Kalle.
