Hello, and welcome you amazing, beautiful, wonderful woman. Firstly, well done you for taking the steps to invest in yourself and your happiness. I am so, so proud of you, and I am so grateful that you have decided to be in a Happy Mind podcast. This podcast will teach you, empower you, support you, but most of all love you on every single step of your self-development journey.

I am here, from a Happy Mind as a month of hern, to allow you to start to overcome your anxieties and all of your negative beliefs. No more anxiety, no more fear, no more insecurity. No more worrying what everyone else thinks of you and feeling guilty for feeling the way that you do. No more.

Here is to you finding your Happy Mind, and I'm so excited to be doing that with you. So, episode number one, I cannot believe I am here recording a podcast from my very own podcast channel. Literally, this is just a dream come true, and this very first podcast is going to give you, hopefully, some motivation, love, support and encouragement so that you really do know that the world is out there for you, and there are endless opportunities just waiting for you. So, for me, my name is Samantha Hearn, and I'm the founder of Own Art of a Happy Mind.

And for me to even be able to say that to you is literally just crazy. So, a bit about me, if you're in my Facebook group, you know some of this already, and welcome, I'm so, so glad you've come over to the podcast. And if this is the first time you're speaking to me, I love you already, and I'm so proud of you. So, my general anxiety started a really long time ago, over 10 years ago, blind me even longer than that.

So, for me, I have experienced a lot of different troubles, challenges from a really young age, but things that now I can say with my hand and my heart, I wouldn't change any of them. I would not change any of them. And the reason I say that to you, and honestly, the reason I genuinely do mean that, is it's taught me everything about myself, from the good, the bad, and the ugly, but all of it has allowed me to grow and become who I am now. So, for me, anxiety was a lot about separation, abandonment, rejection, not being loved and not being enough.

And for all of you listening to this, your anxiety will affect you in so many different ways. Your anxiety might be to do with social situations, it might be to do with health, confidence, work, relationships, whatever it is, throughout this podcast and future episodes. We will uncover and look at so many of those. We will unpick them.

I will give you strategies. I will give you the answers. I will give you solutions. I promise you that after every episode of watching this podcast, listening to this podcast, sorry, you will have takeaways that you can implement in your everyday life from right now.

This is a genuine, real podcast with real human experiences, journeys, and circumstances that actually do and will relate to you. So, this first podcast is just a way for me to say, say yes to as much as you can. And for me, the reason I say that is because opportunities are there all the time, for all of us, literally all the time. If you want to be a singer, there is no reason that that can't happen.

There are thousands of singers everywhere all over the world. If you want to be in computing, there are thousands of millions of computers everywhere. If you want to travel, there are hundreds of airlines. There is no shortage of opportunity.

We just need to be in a situation where we say yes and start taking them. And like I said, all of the future episodes and this whole channel is about overcoming and managing your anxiety. But for me, the reason I want to share this with you is number one in the Happy Mind podcast is for me. For me to be sitting here talking to you on a podcast, publishing it on iTunes and having my own podcast channel has only happened through my ability and my belief in saying yes.

So, of course, I have had my journey with anxiety and yes, I have had some really big struggles and challenges along the way. But now I'm sitting here in front of you, empowering, loving and supporting you to be able to do that for yourself. So, some top tips for you on how you can start saying yes to new opportunities. Number one, there is nothing standing in your way apart from you.

There is nothing standing in your way apart from you. If you want to try something new, you can. You absolutely can. There is no reason that that can't happen.

The only thing standing in the way of something new is you. So, ask yourself that question. Is it better to at least try a no or never try and regret? Where would you rather be?

What thoughts and feelings would you rather have? Number two, trying something new doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to the old. So many of us, the experience anxiety really, really worry that as soon as we say yes to something new, it means we have to reject something old. We have to say no to something.

We have to ignore how we've always felt or pretend we're in a situation that doesn't make us happy or we feel like a hypocrite. Oh, I can't say yes because I don't 100% feel confident or comfortable. You know, just we have those worries. Oh, should I say yes or do I need to just carry on doing what I'm doing?

I'm safe and happy with what I'm doing. So, should I just carry on doing that? So, for me, it's about giving you the reassurance. If you say yes to something new, everything doesn't have to change.

You don't have to change everything straight away. Things don't have to be radically different. Saying yes to something new just means you're trying something else. You're just trying something else.

And remember, if you link that to point number one, trying something else is so much better than not trying and never knowing. Put yourself in a situation where saying yes to something new and having a new opportunity can only open you up to new things, which leads me to number three. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Honestly, my lovely lady, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

And it has taken me a long time to learn that. But even with this situation now, I'm trying something new with the podcast. That doesn't mean my Facebook community has to be rejected. It doesn't mean I have to give up my Instagram.

It doesn't mean that my business and my coaching calls and my clients are going to think that I'm ignoring them. It just means I'm trying something new. And if this podcast can help one woman, one amazing woman overcome a managed anxiety and start to thrive in her life, that's a win. That is a win.

I'm not losing anything. I have everything to gain. And so do you. Whatever your situation, just think to yourself.

What can I gain? What can I learn? And how can this help enrich my life? Saying yes to something new doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to all the old or say goodbye to your life as you know it.

And you have everything to gain. Number four, when you look back on the fact you've said yes to something new, you can look back with happiness, confidence and pride in yourself. So number four is think about how you want to feel. How do you want to feel when you try something new and you look back?

How do you want to feel when you say yes to things? How do you want to feel when things start to go right for you? So for me, I'm already thinking when I save this podcast and I submit it and I tune say, yes, well done. Congratulations.

You have your first podcast. How do I want to feel? I want to feel excited, proud, happy, confident in love with my life. That's how I want to feel.

I don't want to feel stuck where I've always been. I don't want to feel worried, fearful, scared. I don't want to feel anxiety about what people think of me because if I feel those things, all they're doing is hindering me. They're not helping me.

And this is tip number four. Are your thoughts and feelings helpful or hindering? Are they giving you helpful advice? Are they teaching you something new?

Are you learning something new? Are you growing? Do you feel like you're gaining and enriching from these thoughts and feelings? Or do you feel like they're holding you back?

Are they blocking you? Are they stopping you? Are they making you worry? Are you doubting yourself?

Are you feeling insecure? Are your feelings helpful or hindering? So use these tips to just start. And as you're listening to this, you might be in the car, you might be washing the dishes, you might be cooking dinner, you might be in the bath, wherever you are.

I love that I'm with you. I literally love that. But please just take time to listen over these steps and reflect. How do you want to feel?

Saying yes to something new doesn't mean you have to say no to everything else. And you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Having anxiety or experiencing anxiety doesn't have to define your life. Having fears and insecurities doesn't have to be all you are and everything that you have.

You can try something new. You can experience something new. You can have something new in your life. And being open to saying yes to things allows opportunity, adventure, new experiences to come into your life.

And as I give you this podcast, I have a card in front of me which says I am surrounded by wonderful experiences and opportunities. Can you say yes to that? Are you surrounded by wonderful opportunities and experiences? If the answer is no, what can you do to change that?

How can you improve that situation? Like I keep saying, this podcast is going to be a place where we talk about unpick and uncover and allow you to feel like you have strategies to overcome a manager anxiety and your negative beliefs and mindsets. But this first podcast is really setting us up how we want to go on. I want you to feel like you have a biggest fan.

I want you to feel like you are supported, loved, encouraged, empowered, inspired. I want you to feel like there are opportunities and chances that you can take and you genuinely can take them. These five tips are just the beginning. They're just the starting point.

I just want you to spend some time listening to them and allowing them to sink in for you. Think about what you can do, what your dreams, what your hopes, what your desires. Don't think about what's holding you back and why you can't do it. Think about all the reasons that you can.

Remember tip number one, you are your own biggest block. The only reason something isn't happening is because you are not open to allowing it to happen. I am so glad. I cannot tell you how much I love you and I'm proud of you and I'm so glad that you're here.

This podcast is going to continue growing and I want you to grow with me. I want this journey to be a self-development journey between the two of us. I want you to know that I'm there and I'm with you. And as I look into my blue speaker, my blue, my blue, I will speak.

I am thinking of you in my very heart and soul and I cannot explain and express how important it is to surround yourself with like-minded, empowering inspirational individuals that are going to feel you and feel your life with goodness and enrich you with amazingness. So just know that from me, your anxiety does not have to define you and please listen to the next podcast where I'm going to be sharing my journey and experience with anxiety and there is just so much to come. So make sure you subscribe to my channel, enjoy a happy mind as a podcast, review this podcast and I would love to hear what you think and share it with all your loved ones and friends because this is only going to get better for you. Say yes to this first opportunity by being here and I'm so glad you've shown up and continue to show up for yourself and know that I'm with you every step of the way.

Message me, email me, Instagram me, Facebook me, wherever you want to message me, message me. I'm here and I'm going to start doing these podcasts every week so you have a taste of everything that's to come for you and the opportunities that are really genuinely surrounding you.
