Nachthorn tire son nom de l’un des 78 jeux qui composent l’orgue principal de l’église St. Antonius à Düsseldorf en Allemagne.
Cet instrument, équipé d’un système développé par la société allemande Sinua, offre en effet la possibilité de contrôler tous ses claviers et timbres via un ordinateur.
L’orgue devient ainsi un synthétiseur d'une puissance hors norme.
Ce dispositif singulier permet alors à Maxime Denuc et grâce au concours du label Vlek, de réaliser un vieux rêve : créer une pièce de dance music entièrement acoustique avec l’orgue comme seul instrument.
Oscillant entre dub techno, harmonies en boucle ou after-hours pop , Nachthorn propose une musique hypnotique dont les lignes esquissent le contour d’une rave imaginaire.
Rencontre avec l'intéressé autour d'un café et d'une copie de son vinyle à l'occasion d'un de ses passages par Toulouse.
